Weekly Weigh In: Week 20, November 4, 2019

I have decided that this feature will now run indefinitely, and will replace the My Quarterly Report feature.  It will go live every Monday, and it will be a weigh in that will share how I'm doing health-wise, and it will give me more accountability with my health.

Here is my twentieth weigh in:

1. The Selfie: The selfie is me as of today, November 4, 2019.

2. Weight: My weight went down a pound!  I'm so happy!  I wish it was more, but I'll take it! :)  Here's hoping the pattern continues!

3. Health News: I was able to average just over 7,000 steps per day last week.  I hope to get at least my minimum of 6,000 steps per day this week, too, but we'll see.  The weather is supposed to be gross again this week (read that as snow, rain, and rain/snow predicted, and probably all other forms of precipitation mixed in at times, too), so it may be hard for me to get out and about.  I will do my best, though!  I am definitely going to take advantage of any breaks in the weather as I can.

The insomnia and migraines are leaving me alone for now (when I follow my rules - I had a few days I didn't, and I paid for it with some insomnia).  I am very happy about this, and am hopeful that it will continue as long as I stick to my rules.

As I mentioned above, I had a few times when I didn't strictly follow my rules and suffered for it.  I am very grateful that I haven't had any migraines, but I definitely have had some insomnia that was self-inflicted.  That is no fun!  Let's just say, it is enough to make me behave. :)

All in all, I am doing pretty well, and I can't complain.

4. Diet News:  I did great with my intermittent fasting, but struggled a bit with some dietary choices at times.  I am in this place right now where I feel hungry, but nothing sounds good, so I end up just trying random things to see if that's what I'm hungry for.  That never works out for me.  I also have times where I have absolutely no appetite, so I just end up eating something that I know I'll enjoy, even if it isn't always the best choice (like potato chips - I really do love those things, and it's a problem!).  I am going to work on making good choices (for me) no matter how I personally feel.  I may still indulge occasionally (like on chocolate or chips), but I am going to try not to indulge with a large portion or at the wrong time of day.  My body is starting to protest more and more when I don't follow my rules!

5. Other News: {How is it November already?!?!?!  This  year has flown by!}  This week should also be a little quieter, and I am grateful for that as it feels more relaxing, and I need that right now.  There will still be busy times, but for the most part there will be more downtime.  I am going to enjoy it while it lasts. :)

Please continue to be in prayer for some very special unspoken requests.  I may end up sharing some of those things in the near future, but for now, they are between God and I, and I could really use some prayer support.  Thank you!

How are you doing?  Do you have anything you want to weigh in with?  Any health progress or goals you want to share?  If so, please leave a comment below (with a link to your post, if you have one and wish to leave it), and I'll respond ASAP.

Have a great week!
